Re: Other Shadow Motor Cruiser Sightings
TSHIFFELY'S SHADOW
This smart-looking Shadow 26 was spotted by Roy Dawkins on a visit to Brighton Marina. Is it the 'sea-going' version?
The date was the 21st July 2008. No sign of the owner so no new member this time.
Additional information supplied by Dave Probert, our Chairman - Shadow Motor-cruisers on 12/08/08:
"I was looking at the website the other day and saw the pics of Tshiffely's Shadow that Roy took in Brighton Marina a short while ago. (I must have done something right over the past few years to get a "yachtie" to recognise a Shadow at last, well done Roy!)
This boat was originally owned from new by Geof and Carol Tarr and they were founder members of the association. In fact Geof was the first Shadow Chairman from 1991 to 1994 before handing over to me.
Unfortunately they had to sell the boat shortly after that due to other commitments, mainly Carol's heavy involvement with breeding and showing Tarkusha cats, along with other family responsibilities.
I don't know who bought it from them or if it has changed hands again since, but as I still exchange Christmas cards with them, I will try to find out who they passed it on to, so we may be able to trace the new owners.
As far a I can remember it was a 'Riverboat' version, despite now being on the sea at Brighton.
Hope this helps
Dave P."
