East Coast Rally to Burnham-on-Crouch Saturday 7th July 2018

Hi folks,

Several moorings have been outline booked at the Yacht Haven, pending confirmation nearer the dates, for both Friday 6th and Saturday 7th of July. Peter and myself will be heading up from Chatham on the Friday.

The weekend happily coincides with the Burnham Beer Festival which runs from Thursday 5th to Sunday the 8th and is held at Burnham Park Hall SL1 7HR - about a 20 min walk from the yacht Haven. For those arriving by car there is parking available although it might be busy. If you need to find out more their number is 01628 550380, the chap I spoke to was very friendly and helpful.

The event hosts beer and cider stalls, live music and food stands and vans selling burgers, thai food, fish and chips, seafood, hotdogs etc and the Hall also has a licensed club which will be open to the public throughout the event which might make a good VSA base camp.

Apart from that, the Yacht Club is under new management and up and running again so we all have plenty of options available. I suggest we finalise plans nearer to the time when we have a clearer idea of who's coming and for how long.

Let me know your thoughts, early confirmations of attendance greatly appreciated, I would like to firm up the booking for moorings before June 29th.

Hi folks, Pete and I are en route to Burnham to arrive later today. If you’re heading over this weekend give me a ring on 07921 501193 and we’ll catch up with you there. Chas said he’ll buy everyone a beer... haha... I lie! ?

If anyone is arriving by boat we have secured a club mooring discount with the harbour master, just say you’re with the VSA, with Jenny Wren and Margot, and all should be well.
