VSA Best Log Cup

In 2017 the Association agreed to change the submission and judging process for the award of the Best Log Cup.  Hitherto the submissions had been made in hard copy, and award of the Cup determined by a panel of three individuals.  In some years, submissions had been from a very limited number of individuals.  In 2018 with electronic submissions being the norm. we had a bumper number of entries with John Willis, and the record of his single-handed passage to Spain, and the return, being judged the winner, by votes cast from the whole membership.  The Log was featured in the latest edition of Waterlines.

Entries for the 2019 award are now invited and should be brought to the attention of the Honorary Secretary, Jon Spencer at   Entries should cover the usual criteria of: route plan, information about the passage, weather conditions, boat equipment, ports and anchorages, pictures, people interest, and humour. The entry need not be of great length, but of interest to the membership.  The closing date for entries will be Sunday 20th October 2019.
