Frances 26 - Bunarina

Hello everyone,

first of all I want to say thank you for let me join the association. And also want to say sorry because my english is not perfect.

I bought my Frances 26 in march 2021, previous called Filia. I bought the boat near Barcelona so I leave the boat in Barcelona for six months prior to the actual destination. The reason for having the boat in Barcelona was for doing some restoration. What I did was the following:

-New electric installation in the boat. This includes a new 150 Ah Lithium Battery, also allow the boat to plug to the port, etc. And I also set up a new fridge of 51 liters.

-Changing the trinquette to a genoa.

(is blue because I have a project changing all the red to blue)

-Complete restoration of the yanmar 1gm10, with a new alternator with double conveyor belt.

-Changing the old teak deck with flexiteek 2.0

And other minor things.

After six months we move to Palma de Mallorca from Barcelona.

Here is a small video of the trip:

And finally here is the boat at the port of Palma de Mallorca in a sunny morning:

And what now¿?

First of all is doing the antifouling, changing the stern (I will ask you regarding this  smile ) adn minor things to keep the boat with all of her splendor.

Thanks for let me joining the association.

She looks a treat Pedro.  I am interested in your cockpit cover, can you post some photos of it in the up position plus how it is fitted?  Or email me if that is easier.  I have a V800 cutter so same hull and deck just different below. Murray

Hi Pedro.
Regarding your synthetic deck and cockpit, what product did you use and did you install it yourself?
Thanks.
Charlie.

Hi Charlie,

I used Flexiteek 2.0

https://www.flexiteek.com/flexiteek-2g/

I didn´t install myself. They made a deck plan by computer, premake all the parts in a workshop and then send a team to paste it in the after removing the old one.

regards,

Pedro
