F26 Boarding Ladder question
[Moved from 'Technical Advice' pages, dated 22/01/10]
The following message was received from one of our members, Peter Ormrod, who owns the Frances 26, 'Filia'. Peter also sent the photograph, which shows the two lugs he describes. Can anyone answer his question?
"I wish to make use of the two lugs or slots on the stbd stern side of my Frances 26 in order to support a suitable boarding ladder. I guess this was their original function and steps in this location would facilitate boarding so much better than climbing over the stern guard rail which is awkward and impossible for some of my guests. I am assuming that the fittings were standard to the Frances (built 1988)?
Any suggestions as to where I can buy a set of steps to fit?"
