Being based at Chatham this one is easy. Maybe I meet up with rallyists at Stangate or Queenborough.

Re: EAST COAST SUMMER RALLY 2012

As per Peter Cosker's recent email:

From the event flyer:
"A rally has been arranged at Chatham Maritime Marina on Saturday June 9th 2012. We shall gather on Mark and Sheesh Bloomfield’s Victoria 34 Symphony which will be on the Visitors’ Pontoon, in the late afternoon, before moving to the Ship and Trades pub for dinner. This has been renovated since our last visit. If anyone would like to visit the Historic Dockyard on either Saturday or Sunday morning, I am happy to arrange it for you. Please let me know if you are coming by Wednesday May 30th with your choice from the menu."

Anne Grubb was going to send out some menu choices but the Manager at 'The Ship and Trades' has said he would prefer our members to order individually from their extensive menu.  Please ignore the last few words of the flyer. There is no need to supply your choice of menu but do, of course, tell Anne that you are coming to the rally itself.

Re: EAST COAST SUMMER RALLY 2012

Hello to all East Coasters planning on heading to Chatham this coming weekend.

I have just completed a very hectic few days working with the Port of London Authority on the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Pageant, a great and very long day enjoyed by all we met taking part in spite of the weather. I have now downloaded the highlights on iPlayer and am going to see what I missed!

It would be good to know your planned etas at Chatham, we may be able to meet the crews as they arrive and help take lines. I like Phil's suggestion of meeting in the river somewhere, although that may not be possible for us due to prior engagements.

We intend to move Symphony across to the visitors pontoon for the evening drinks reception, but will return her to her normal berth before dinner.

If anyone needs any local information regarding Chatham Maritime and local facilities please do let me know and we will share what we can.

Look forward to seeing you all next weekend,

Mark and Sheesh
